Fans of ice cream will be pleased to hear that, for one day only, a much loved family farm ice cream parlour is re-opening to the public. Marshfield Farm's ice cream parlour is returning after having to close its doors in 2023.
The parlour, which is located in Chippenham, Wiltshire, will be open on Sunday, May 26, between 10am and 3pm and will be offering a wide range of ice cream, sorbets, milkshakes and dog ice cream. But you'll need to reserve your ticket if you want to make the most of what's on offer - and these are very limited.
Tickets can be reserved via the official Marshfield website and, while they are free, a donation to help a Marshfield Farm colleague is encouraged. Robin, the recipient of donations and all of the money raised on the day, grew up at Marshfield Farm and worked here for some 20 years, along with his father Rich, who has been working there for more than half a century.

Robin was diagnosed with a brain tumour and, after battling for many years, has been told that a ground-breaking new treatment could be the only thing that could give him some more time with his family. The team at Marshfield Farm say they will be doing lots over the coming weeks to fundraise and donate towards treatment for the father of three, and "want to use our parlour for a good cause and help raise as much as we can".
A GoFundMe page has also been set up for Robin, so far raising more than £46,000 of its £60,000 target. All staff will be volunteering on parlour day, and all proceeds will be donated to Robin's cause.
Back in March 2023, the team at Marshfield Farm announced that the farm's ice cream parlour would not be opening over the summer, leading to its full-time closure. A blog post read: "We originally opened our parlour many years ago as a way of welcoming our local community onto the farm to see exactly where the ice cream was made, and we love being able to have you as part of our story.

"Since those first weekends opening, the parlour has grown in popularity, which makes us so happy, but the farm just can't cope with it. We are still first and foremost, a working farm and ice cream factory with tractors and machinery moving around all day.
"We want everyone to have an amazing time at the parlour, but safety comes first and we don't feel we can comfortably, safely welcome you to the farm." Ticket sales for this charity parlour day on May 26 will end two days before the event, if tickets have not all been snapped up.
