A route through a South Gloucestershire village will be closed overnight this week for essential repairs. The emergency carriageway resurfacing will take place overnight on Church Road in Frampton Cotterell for five nights from Monday (April 22).
One Network describes the roadworks as: "Patching takes place to repair the road surface, it involves removing a part of the surface around a pothole and placing a new patch of road surface."
A full road closure will be in place from Monday (April 22) to Saturday (April 27), between 7pm and 6am each day. The diversion route will see motorists drive on the A432, Stover Road, Yate Road, B4059 and B4058.

During this closure, First Bus say bus services Y1, Y2 and Y6 heading towards Yate and Chipping Sodbury will operate as normal to the junction of Church Road in Frampton Cotterell then divert via Bristol Road and Yate Road to resume the normal route at Badminton Road. Service Y1, Y2 and Y6 heading towards Bristol and Southmead Hospital will operate the reverse route.
A spokesman added: "Regretfully the bus stops between and including Western Avenue on Church Road and Park & Ride bus stop on Badminton Road will not be served and passengers are advised to board or alight at Court Road bus stop on Bristol Road or Stover Road bus stop on Badminton Road heading towards Chipping Sodbury or Yate Station bus stop on Station Road or Perrinpit Road bus stop on Bristol Road heading towards Bristol or Southmead Hospital.
"All bus stops on diversion route will be observed during this closure period."
