Baileys has released a new flavour in time for the summer. The liqueur brand has brought out a Mint Choc Shake Irish Cream Liqueur.
It's made with chocolate, vanilla, and mint flavours combined with Baileys Original Irish Cream. There are plenty of different ways you can enjoy it, you can add it to ice cream for a thick and creamy milkshake, or add a drop or two to your coffee.
For a limited time only you can buy a 1L bottle for £17 on Amazon, it has an RRP of £24.29 - over on Sainsbury's, it's on offer for £20.50. Fans have been experimenting with the new flavour, one shopper said: "Baileys always make decent drinks and I confess, they're a bit of a weakness of mine. When I saw the mint chocolate version, it was a no-brainer for me to pick one up. Needless to say, I wasn't disappointed.
"I tried the drink straight first. It's exactly how you'd expect it to taste. That classic Baileys cream, with mint and chocolate. Lovely.
"After, I tried it how they promote it - as an ice cream shake. I got a smoothie glass, scooped in some vanilla ice cream, then poured the Baileys on top. I gently stirred it, let it melt a little, then put some chocolate flakes on top. Put in the straw and voila. Again, it tasted delightful.
"Finally, I wondered how it would taste with an espresso shot/latte. Again, putting the mint chocolate cream onto the espresso then adding the froth made a lovely Baileys coffee. I added some additional chocolate sprinkles on top and it tasted lush. Oh and it also works with iced coffee too, in case you were wondering.
"It won't be for everyone. You'll need a sweet tooth to enjoy it, but if you already love the Baileys range, then this is another winner."
Another shopper wrote: "The same Baileys creamy flavour you expect, but with a chocolate/minty kick! Very easy to drink on its own, or I actually added some to my evening hot chocolate, and it was absolutely yummy."
A third wrote: "I took two scoops of vanilla ice cream and blended it with some of this Baileys and then poured it into a milkshake glass and added a straw and voila, done! Absolutely stunning mint choc flavour and I can't wait to give my friends a taste of this, delicious in every way!"
The mint and chocolate combination isn't for everyone, with one customer writing: "I don't ever think that mint and chocolate should meet, this is no exception. If I wanted that flavour I would eat a bar of Dairy Milk whilst brushing my teeth which seems like a silly thing to do in my opinion.
"However, my wife assures me that this, along with other minty chocolate things are lovely. Can be drunk on its own or used to make cocktails or even milkshakes. Not seen anywhere else in stores so nice to try, for her at least - not me."
