Hello and welcome to today's live match blog.
It's the first of two long away trips this week for Nigel Pearson's side as they travel to Carrow Road to take on Dean Smith's in-form Norwich.
It's City's toughest test so far but they can head across the country looking to upset the odds with an impressive run of eight unbeaten in all competitions.
Norwich have form themselves having won the last five consecutive league matches after failing to win any of their first three. Apart from the long-term injuries to Tomas Kalas and Ayman Benarous, Pearson has a full-strength side to pick from but he'll be having one eye on the trip to Burnley on Saturday.
Smith has four players out for this game including their two full-backs and that could play into the hands of City's lethal attacking force who have scored 16 goals in their first eight matches.
We'll bring you all the build-up, live match action and reaction so stay tuned and continue scrolling down below throughout the evening.

Nigel Pearson's thoughts
The Bristol City manager rued defensive errors but refused to be downbeat about the result after City's impressive performance.
How did you score the players?
Use our player rater below to mark each of the City team out of 10.
The player ratings...
Here's how the City players rated on a emphatic but ultimately deflating night at Carrow Road.
Chris Martin's on
Atkinson's off and the striker is on... City going for it.
A cross comes in from the right and Krul somehow punches it clear. Can't take your eyes off this one.
Carnage
Hernandez is in with just the keeper to beat but Bentley stands tall to make a great save and keep City in it.
How it happened
It's another defensive error, this time from Norwich. Wells wants a free-kick but doesn't get it.
Nunez loses the ball on the edge of the box to Williams and the ball falls to Semenyo. He hits it first time and it's into the back of the net.
What a finish we have on our hands now.
Semenyo's on
Wasting no time to get him on the field and he replaces Sykes... Weimann has come across to play wing-back.
How it happened
It's come from a corner and it's another easy goal for City to concede.
The delivery comes in and Sargent directs a great header into the net. Nothing Bentley could do about that.
Completely against the run of play.
Double change
Norwich making two changes... Cantwell and Ramsey coming off for Hernandez and Sara.
That says it all.
Chance
Atkinson wins the free-kick on the edge of the box and Scott has a great chance to whip one in from a dangerous position. It's poor and Norwich get it clear.
All the play coming in Norwich's half.
City in control
They've started this second half really well once again. Scott is seeing a lot of the ball and he's dictating the play.
The Norwich fans are growing increasingly frustrated.
Chance!
Almost for Wells! Alex Scott works it well on the left and gets his cross away. Wells runs onto it but he can't generate enough power on his header and Krul catches.
Back out onto the field
We're about to get underway for this second half. No changes for the visitors.
Half-time ratings

Half-time Norwich 2-1 Bristol City
Breathless stuff. We thought we might see goals and it's not disappointing. City are well and truly in this game.
How it happened
He can't stop scoring! It's no less than City deserve and what a time to score it.
Atkinson does superbly to drive forward with one of his trademark runs. He feeds Wells who plays a brilliant cross to Conway and he thumps a header into the roof of it net.
Superb stuff.
Kal Naismith
Naismith trys to redeem himself just before half-time with an effort from distance but it was straight into the arms of Tim Krul.
City have been really good. Norwich can't get hold of the ball.
There's more goals in this
Long story short. Norwich cannot defend.
They've made so many defensive errors but City just haven't been able to take advantage. The visitors are actually playing much the better football.
Sykes gets so much space again on the right but he hammers it high and wide. If City get the next goal this is still anyone's game.
Mark Sykes
He's been City's best player by far at the moment. Running up and down that right side. Such a threat.
Chance!!!
Oh City should be back in it!
They work it brilliantly down the right... the cross finds Wells on the penalty spot. He's unmarked but his strike is blocked - it deflects to Dasilva but again a Norwich body dives in front of the shot.
What a couple of chances.
Semenyo
Just seen Curtis Fleming order Semenyo to go and warm-up on this touchline.
How it happened
It's another shocker. He comes out with the ball defence and he's passed it straight to a Norwich player in midfield.
He slides it through to Pukki whose through on goal. Vyner comes across to try and make the block, it clips his heel and finds the bottom corner.
You cannot do that against this level of opposition.
Chance
Nunez is causing trouble up City's left and that's a couple of times he's had plenty of space in behind Dasilva.
He gets into the box but his delivery is poor and Naismith gets it away. Norwich are breaking through the middle too easily at times.
City need to respond
They have done reasonably well here, just looking to get themselves settled into the game after that set-back.
You can't legislate for defensive errors especially against a side of Norwich's quality. But City are moving the ball around well as Sykes drives one from distance but it's deflected and Norwich eventually win a goal kick.
