A lane was closed on the M5 as a result of a police incident this afternoon (April 22). The closure was in place heading southbound near Bristol.
According to traffic monitoring site Inrix, the incident took place at junction 16 for Aztec West. The M5 reopened and traffic returned to normal by 1pm.
Inrix says: "Traffic easing, Earlier incident on M5 southbound at J16 A38 Gloucester Road (Aztec West). Lane one (of three) was closed."
