Hello and welcome to Tuesday’s live blog as we bring you all the best Bristol City-related news and beyond throughout the day.
The Robins are very much in the post-season period with players on holiday but with contract issues to be resolved and transfer plans to be activated.
City, to some extent, appear ahead of the curve with Nigel Pearson appearing on BBC Radio Bristol last night to reveal the club are close to making two new signings.
The manager also discussed Alex Scott’s situation (not real change), the futures of Jay Dasilva and Tomas Kalas (watch this space) and his review of the 2022/23 campaign.

Terry Connor named Grenada head coach
City fans will remember Terry Connor as John Ward's No2 for the 1997/98 promotion season before he went on to enjoy a successful career alongside Mick McCarthy.
Well, he now has a job on his hands having taken over as head coach of the team ranked 175 in the world, Grenada.
Nigel Pearson's loan problem
Interesting comments last night from Nigel Pearson regarding the loan market and how it's increasingly being used by Premier League clubs to make money.
Oh hai, Alex
The Under-20 World Cup in Argentina kicks off on Saturday with England's first game on Monday against Tunisia.
Some beauts in here
As you'd expect from a top-10 goal compilation. Probably leaning towards Sam Bell at Swansea but what's interesting is, firstly, how many Bell and Tommy Conway share between them and, secondly, the sheer volume of counter-attacking goals. Something, no doubt, Nigel Pearson is delighted to see.
Next Cardiff manager odds
Perhaps unsurprising to see Nathan Jones on top of this initial list, via SkyBet, given his nationality and Championship pedigree. You do, however, wonder what sort of relationship he would have with Vincent Tan.

Cardiff in need of a new manager
The Bluebirds have confirmed that Sabri Lamouchi is moving on having successfully kept the club in the Championship.
The Frenchman won six of 18 games after joining in January and reports in south Wales indicate that owner Vincent Tan has neglected to offer him a new contract.
Judging by the reaction, this has not gone down well over the Bridge.
Interesting stats round-up of the season
It should perhaps come as no surprise that City's Player of the Season and Players' Player of the Season feature heavily in this breakdown.
City closing in on Joe Bryan and Ross McCrorie
Bristol City are confident they’ve beaten off a host of Championship rivals to secure the double signing of Joe Bryan on a free transfer from Fulham and Aberdeen’s Ross McCrorie.
Lee Trundle's back on the market
The 46-year-old is on the look out for a new challenge after leaving Welsh second-tier side Ammanford.
Pearson on Kalas and Dasilva contract offers
Pearson said:
They've both had contract offers made to them. Jay's was made in January, Tomas has had one recently and apart from that, no real news at the moment. I suppose those situation, to a large extent they're governed with fiannces.
It's really unfortunate for Tomas because he's been a regular performer for a number of year sand he's had two season of having to deal with inujuries which has changed the complexion of how we look at it because he;s onbe of our top earners.
I would very much like him to be with us next season it's whether we can come to an agreement.
Jay, there was lot of talk about hjim leaving in January. He's been a reliable performer and I think he's had a good season. We'll just have to see how that one plays out.
Nigel Pearson reveals positive Bristol City summer transfer update and hints at policy change
Nigel Pearson is confident that Bristol City are closing in on their first two signings of the summer and is working on the assumption that Alex Scott will remain with the Robins for next season.
Throughout his time at Ashton Gate, Pearson has also maintained his preference for getting the bulk of his business secured before pre-season kicks off. After the frustrations of his first summer window in 2021, that proved the case 12 months ago when Kal Naismith, Mark Sykes and Kane Wilson were all announced before mid-June.
Speaking on BBC Radio Bristol, the manager appeared optimistic of a similar set of circumstances occurring in this post-season although, of course, he was reluctant to divulge any names or details.
Pearson said:
We’re pretty close to doing a couple of deals but you know what I’m like, I'm not one for airing stuff publicly when you’re still talking about other people’s players,” Pearson told BBC Radio Bristol.
We will try and get a couple of deals concluded as early as possible and then outside of that it’s really to see what’s available in the type of market we’re looking for.
