Barry Keoghan has left very little to the imagination again as he stripped off for Vanity Fair magazine's latest cover. The actor was part of an acting collective that graced the front of the latest Hollywood edition.
The 30th issue cover was revealed on Wednesday (Feb 21) in a motion video starring some of the industry's hottest talent - including Bradley Cooper, Natalie Portman, Pedro Pascal, Colman Domingo and Jodie Comer. As well as Lily Gladstone, Greta Lee, Charles Melton, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Jenna Ortega, and Barry Keoghan.
Described as its “cheekiest yet” motion video cover, fans received an eyeful as Barry rounded up the clip in the nude. The Irish actor channelled his Saltburn character, who ended the film dancing around the titular mansion in the buff to Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s ‘Murder on the Dancefloor’.
Fans were divided by Vanity Fair’s “plot twist”, with some asking if Barry “knew” that Saltburn had “wrapped shooting”. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, viewers shared their reactions.
K tweeted: “We didn't consent to this vanity fair.” ChaosMoogle said: “We’ve all seen it. All modest AFTER doing a full frontal nude dance in a movie." Kait asked: “Why is this man always naked.”
Yunho wrote: “Thank you aaaaa normalize nudism for hot men in Hollywood.” But not everyone was turned off by the move, with Flavia saying: “The end of the video is glorious.” Fulky commented: “See saltburn didn't have a plot twist, THIS had a plot twist.” Billy agreed: “The magazine is to be congratulated, pure creativity.”
The cover was released ahead of the 30th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, which takes place this weekend. Last year Barry won the Supporting Actor award at the BAFTAs for his part in The Banshees of Inisherin.
He was nominated for Best Leading Actor at the BAFTAs for his role in Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn. The award eventually went to fellow Irish actor Cillian Murphy for Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer.
