When it comes to planning the holidays, it can be hard to find somewhere fun to go that pleases everyone.
That's why we've rounded up some fantastic family-friendly locations that are ideal for all - young and old alike - and are a must-visit this spring.
Each one is either in Bristol or just a short drive away, and the fantastic list includes everything from country parks to crazy golf, a trampoline park and even a heritage railway. For more details, carry on reading below.

1. National Trust Dyrham Park
This spring, families can head down to Dyrham Park for terrific tulips, Easter trails and plenty to do across the 270 acres of parkland with wide-reaching views.
From Saturday, March 23 to Sunday, April 14, Easter egg trails will be running with 10 nature-inspired activities dotted around the garden, including games, challenges and face painting.
This will be followed by Tulip Mania from Monday, April 15 to Monday, May 6, with a magnificent display through the garden, alongside walks, talks and crafts. The house will even be highlighting its historic links with the Netherlands and the tulip through its collection of blue and while Delftware.
Pre-schoolers can also get stuck into 'Nature Tots' sessions with crafts, stories and songs running every Tuesday morning in term-time.
With regular garden and parkland walks, plenty of picnic spots, a tea-room, parkland café, play area, shop and second-hand bookshop, there’s something for everyone.

2. Cheddar Gorge and Caves
Families can visit between Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, April 14 for an egg hunt with a difference through 'The Enchanted Cave’.
The event will offer a magical illuminated trail in Gough’s Cave, where visitors can find the missing eggs and crack the code to get a treat.
There's also a new immersive multimedia experience opening this spring in Cox’s Cave called Yeo’s Journey - The Power of Water - a must-visit for adults and children alike.
Then, from the half-term between Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, June 2, families can take part in ‘Wildlife Wonders’, which will feature interactive talks, demonstrations plus arts and crafts.
A day ticket at Cheddar Gorge and Caves includes six great attractions in one. Dogs are welcome on-site.

3. Aerospace Bristol
Visitors can meet fascinating characters from aerospace history and entertain budding pilots at Aerospace Bristol this Easter.
Actors will be bringing historic characters to life between Friday, March 29 and Monday, April 1, and from Friday, April 5 to Monday, April 8. There will also be real-life experts sharing their aerospace achievements, giving visitors the chance to 'meet history'.
Plus, under fives can pilot their own pedal planes from Tuesday, April 2 to Thursday, April 4.
Families can also visit during the half-term between Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, June 2 to discover Bristol Cars and try their hand at shaping a car body, then see more classic cars at the Father's Day car show between Saturday, June 15 and Sunday, June 16.
Activities are included with admission and tickets, which offer free returns for a year.

4. Noah's Ark Zoo Farm
Friends and families can embark on this farm's 'Good Egg Trail' and discover uplifting stories of conservation triumphs, both close to home and around the globe.
While the world of conservation may sometimes seem daunting, Noah's Ark is here to shine a spotlight on the wins, the successes, and the incredible individuals dedicated to preserving our natural world.
These heart-warming tales can bring a smile to visitors' faces as they explore the trail and learn how they too can become a good egg in conservation.

5. AirHop Trampoline Park Bristol
Locals can jump into an adventure at AirHop Trampoline Park Bristol, the perfect family day out for ultimate bouncing fun, rain or shine.
Offering giant airslides, the obstacle course, wipeout, reaction walls, Airena, Augmented Reality (AR) trampolines and more – AirHop is the perfect day out and a not-to-miss activity when in Bristol.
Located in Cribbs Causeway near the Mall, visitors can shop, then hop until they drop.
On weekends, they can also bounce the night away at two-hour after dark sessions, where the music is turned up and the disco lights are on to make one of Bristol’s bounciest dancefloors.

6. Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway
Families can enjoy a heritage steam and diesel railway in the scenic Cotswolds thanks to this incredible attraction.
The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway is a volunteer operated heritage railway offering a round trip of 28 miles. It uses part of the route of the former Great Western Railway's main line from Birmingham to Cheltenham, which used to run via Stratford-upon-Avon.
It now operates steam and heritage diesel trains between Cheltenham Racecourse and Broadway through some of the most spectacular scenery in the Cotswolds. The line commands wonderful views of the nearby sleepy hamlets and villages, with outstanding views of the Malvern Hills.

7. Somerset Rural Life Museum
The whole family can enjoy Easter on the farm and learn more about local history at Somerset Rural Life Museum in Glastonbury.
They can join in on the fun with an egg-citing Easter egg hunt or even decorate an egg cup. There will also be bunnies and magnificent birds of prey visiting over the holidays.
Families can learn more about how climate change impacts people and animals at this incredible museum. The Grain Store Café will be open over half-term, serving delicious locally-sourced food and drink.
With Museum Unlimited, visitors can also enjoy unlimited use of their ticket throughout the year.

8. Mr Mulligans Bristol
The whole family can come for an awesome par-tee at one of Bristol’s craziest activity venues. There's two 12-hole golf courses that are par-fect for players of all ages and capabilities.
Families can also electrify their visit with a game of electro-darts and other virtual games with scoring, to add a real ‘buzz’ to their experience. They can even ‘cue’ up a few drinks at the pool or shuffleboard tables for some serious competition.
The venue offers par-fect pizza, naughty nachos, wicked wings, dirty fries and more, which can be washed down with a delicious slushie or something a little cheekier.
